Sherida V. Morrison

Sherida Morrison is the Founder and CEO of Demoiselle 2 Femme, NFP, a Chicago nonprofit that has delivered prevention and education programs to thousands of girls aged 13–19 for 22 years, helped over 600 become first-generation college graduates, and awarded more than $52,250 in academic scholarships. Under her leadership D2F has received and successfully managed over $10 million in state, county, and federal grants — through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Cook County, the Illinois Department of Human Services, and the Illinois State Board of Education — alongside more than $750,000 in private grants from foundations, corporations, and universities. She has served on federal grant review panels for the Office of Population Affairs, the Maternal and Child Health Bureau, and the Administration for Children and Families, taught sociology at Kennedy-King College for seven years, and consults for state and federal entities through SheVash Consulting, where she serves as President. At Urban City Lights she teaches The Nuts and Bolts of a Strong Federal Proposal.
